and tomorrow will be the last day we will be taught by mr seah; last day we're having our pe lessons; last few periods with betsy teo; last chinese lesson; and last two periods of my life in nchs is spent with the teacher i looked up to the most - ms oh.

ah. saddddd. today i heard the bell rang for recess. i wasn't happy. it's the first time i wasn't feeling happy that it's time for recess, and probably the last. i was sad because the bell marked the end of a 2 year journey with ms low. i still remembered during sec 3 when i was really unhappy we didn't got mr tien. and it didn't matter. everything was over. i mean. ah.

and then next week they are leaving us alone. it's really scary. it's just like before a race, they ask all competitors down to the call room, where people get ready for their races. my teammates are not here with me. they were somewhere else, maybe in the next heat or maybe amongst those in the stands. i can only talk to myself, think of the running posture, think of the way to breathe, and what have i. others were all screaming, i mean, letting some 'air' out of their chests so that they'll feel more confident. then we'll proceed to the track. we'll plant our spike shoes on the red, hot track and test our starting blocks. we would be running in the race of our lives - 100m, 200m...

and mind you, we're now running in a fucking marathon.

but i never say i dont like lah (: hahaha. but then i dont really like the way singapore students are taught. english teachers provide 23, 24 mark model essays for you to memorise; teachers predict certain questions which will likely come out in the o' levels; math teachers printing papers after papers; and geography teachers killing so many trees just to let us have more notes (notice the irony here?). we study in order to acquire knowledge, in order to enrich our lives, not to get that alphabet and that number next to our subject.

and one day when your boss recruits you. will he recruit someone who has an A1 but is lazy, or someone who got an A2 who will strive to make the company better? yes, talent is important. but...uh... i dont know. i just have to take heart. i'll just accept all this things.

but do remember to take every single day as a bonus, as minister mentor said it. right? haha. life must be lived like that mah. really what!

(:
